Description
This 1907-manufactured Colt Single Action Army revolver in .45 Long Colt offers collectors a genuine slice of Old West history with an unmistakably aged presence. Sporting a 5.5" barrel, this revolver features matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and butt—indicating it retains its original factory configuration.
The metal shows honest wear and a thin, mottled patina consistent with age, with some remnants of its original finish still visible. The factory black hard rubber grips display wear from use, and the left panel has a small chip at the lower corner—adding to the revolver’s well-traveled character. Mechanically, the revolver functions correctly with a slightly loose hammer and cylinder that do not affect operation.
It comes housed in a yellow-lined wooden display case marked "Colt." While not factory original, the case adds value for collectors or presentation purposes. The bore shows dirt and fouling but retains fair rifling, and the revolver remains mechanically sound—making it a worthy candidate for either display or restoration.
