The gun is quality. I wanted the 7+1 capacity shotgun. It shipped fast. They communicated with me very well. This was my first time to have a gun shipped to another store as an FFL transfer. I won't do that again. The transfer fee was $40. The whole reason I bought this gun was the price.
Have not shot yet, seller shipped quickly with tracking.
Does exactly what it was made to do, and USA made. No issues. Only a front bead sight and would prefer a rear and front sight, but that's my only gripe. Gun Prime shipped super fast.
This gun will make for a great budget shotgun. It comes covered in factory grease and needs to be thoroughly cleaned before use. The finish is not particularly thick and shows signs of wear but this is a budget shotgun. Will handle 00 buck easily. Great gun for the money.
Very pleased wit Shotgun
I've wanted a Maverick 88 with the 20" barrel and extended mag tube for a while now, been waiting for them to show up again. So, when I saw this suddenly available, I jumped at the chance...especially with the FDE furniture, I thought it looked very nice. But now I wish I'd bought the plain black model instead, for one reason -- aftermarket parts. The 14" length of pull on this shotgun is a little too longer for my little T-Rex arms, so I need to get one of the Hogue Short LOP stocks...which don't come in FDE, only black. D'OH! If I buy one to make the shotgun fit better, I'll have an all black firearm except for an FDE pump (changing them out on a Maverick is more involved than the Mossberg 500, so no thanks to that). There are other stocks available in FDE like the Magpul, but they're twice the price of the Hogue. So, not sure which one I'll go for. Maybe if I hold off long enough, Hogue will see the light and make the shorter stock available in flat dark earth. Yeah, right...
