Ruger American Ranch Gen 2

The Ruger American Ranch Gen 2 is a bolt action rifle chambered in .450 Bushmaster with a 16.40 inch cold hammer forged barrel and 3+1 capacity. Cobalt Cerakote covers the barrel, Hybrid muzzle brake, receiver, and bolt handle, and a Flat Dark Earth splatter stock keeps the rifle at 5.8 pounds and 37.60 inches overall. A Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, Power Bedding, and a factory Picatinny scope base complete this short ranch rifle.

The barrel is threaded 11/16x24 and ships with a Ruger Hybrid muzzle brake. Twist is 1:9.5 RH with five grooves, and there is no barrel fluting. The three lug bolt uses a 70 degree throw for scope clearance, and the oversized handle is threaded 5/16x24 for aftermarket swaps. Trigger pull is user set from 3 to 5 pounds, and a three position tang safety locks the bolt so the rifle can be loaded with the safety on.

The FDE splatter stock adjusts from 12 to 13.75 inches for length of pull by removing the installed spacer, and a soft rubber recoil pad has a large heel radius. An installed low comb helps with magnified optics and can be removed for a lower sight line. One magazine and steel sling swivel studs ship with the rifle. It suits hunting and field use when a short .450 Bushmaster with a Cerakote finish and a muzzle brake is the goal.
